Want to reformat my HD in NTFS

  stoner 20:13 18 Jan 2007

Hey Guys ! How ya doin?

Sorry been away for awhile but now need yr help,

I've got a 30GB HD formatted as two drives in FAT32 as XP Home SP2

I want to reformat as one drive in NTFS,

anyone got any ideas as to how I would go about this,

any comments would be gratefully received,

have you got a win xp disc if you want to reinstall it it gives you the option when installing and to remove partitions

there is no data loss so its not really a format..

yes I have!

are you sure it removes FAT32 partitions?

thanks for that SANTOS7 but I actually want to remove the partition as well,

or click Start, click Run, type cmd
type help convert and then press ENTER
then convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs
i think thats it

AHH!! sorry stoner, you might have to do a clean install which like surfmonkey #:@}© says will give you the option of NTFS on install or if you have the software that partitioned your HDD and merge them first then you could follow my suggestion..
