Want a new Firewall & require suggestions.

I use Kaspersky as an antivirus & require a Firewall to run with it.

Have tried Zone Alarm & Norton but not impressed. Any others you have used?

I have used Avast! and it works very well for me. Been using it for over a couple of years now.

and I use Sunbelt Kerio firewall; it's very similar to ZoneAlarm and just as good if not better. click here

;-) and it's free if you don't pay for it after the 30 days trial period

I agree with cowgirl66 about Kerio. They have also just issued an updated version (4.3). If you want to try Comodo Firewall it`s on the PCA October DVD.

Yep, Kerio for me. I use one free license and one premium license; not a lot of difference, but there was a special offer on.

To be honest, it's so good that it has almost totally replaced Outpost, my previous favourite. Outpost is even more tweakable, but not as easy to use.

Comodo is not bad, though Netveda is better.

Avast! is an anti-virus utility, not a firewall.

  ArrGee 20:41 14 Aug 2006

If that is the case, how comes it monitors every website I go into. Surely that is what a firewall does too?

  ade.h 20:46 14 Aug 2006

Er, no. Firewalls provide port-based and program-based access control (inbound and outbound), plus LAN control, and sometimes content filtering.
