I have been trying to use Outlook in xp but I get the message unable to open addressbook can't find wab.dll. this seems to be a common problem but I haven't found the solution.Any help most welome.
tried that but it didn't work. That microsoft site seemed to be for windows 98.
Outlook or Outlook Express? They are different products. OE is lacking in many areas and people should be using Mozilla Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail these days.
If Outlook Express you may find the System File Checker will replace the missing/corrupt Dll.Start / run and type sfc /scannownote the space between c and /Alternatively if you have access to another xp computer you can copy the dll and replace your missing/corrupt one.You will have to check your system32 folder first and if wab.dll is present, right click and rename to wab.old and replace with the good copy from another xp machine or download from click here
No, nothing seems to work, I think I'll try another program. Thanks for all the help
