Sorry, no idea what you mean. A bit more explanation would help (unless you mean printer drivers. If that's the case, need to know make and model of printer).

It's a printer board that plugs into a spare PCI or PCIe slot that enables you to use a parallel socket printer. Plenty around for win 7 but can't find for win 8.

Their web page says it will only go to Win 7.

I have also read bad reports about these devices, which is why I thought a proper plug in board was perhaps the way to go, but with printers so cheap these days, that may be a better way.

You may be right. I think I paid about £40 for an Epson printer/scanner/copier and I couldn't be happier with it. Time to move into the 21st century, methinks... :-) (I can't remember when I last used a parallel printer, but it must have been 10+ years ago.)
