My Norton Antivirus (2000) tells me my computer is infected with the above virus. I downloaded and ran the Symantec W32.Klez Removal Tool, but it just told me that "neither [email protected] nor W32.Elkern.gen were found on your computer". I cannot find any reference to KlezH, and Symantec won't speak to me because I have out-of-date software, even though I pay my subscription!!! can you help me, please? Many thanks.

And if you're using ME or XP, did you disable System Restore before trying to run the removal tool? If you didn't, do as VoG says and download Stinger, but before you run it make sure to turn off System Restore.

Here's how click here

Don't forget to turn it on again once you're virus-free.

Kitz E Kat - Norton would not quarantine the virus.

MAJ - clicked on the System Restore link, but nothing happened.

Disabling the System Restore Utility (Windows XP Users)

1. Right click the My Computer icon on the Desktop and click on Properties.
2. Click on the System Restore tab.
3. Put a check mark next to 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'.
