Volsnap Event ID 33 ?????

I'm very new to this PC thing so please be patient! I'm using Acronis Drive Monitor and since yesterday I'm getting the above message (11 so far) in "Critical events", categorised as "low risk". What I have googled has made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever; all that I know is that I am supposedly at increased risk of data loss.

I've done the HP support assistant disc troubleshoot which advised me to defragment my disc even though it shows zero percent, and still advises this even after defragging again. Windows troubleshoot comes up with nothing, although as a sidenote it says ..."Hardware changes might not have been detected". Looked in the events log which is all a foreign language to me, although there are red warning boxes appearing in various places saying..."The driver detected a controller error \Device\Hardisk2\DR2"

I hope the above makes some kind of sense to someone because it sure doesn't to me. Any help/advise much appreciated. Thanks, Malc.

Acronis monitors the drive

Windows has a service called Volume Shadow Copying (Volume Snapshot)

This takes up room on the drive

If a limit on the size of the backup is set Acronis will delete the shadow copy

You data is preserved but the shadow copy is not.

Thanks for the reply. So is this anything to worry about? Thanks.
