Vista Question re. HDD and Data

  AngeTheHippy 20:07 01 Oct 2009

Evening Chaps,

My Vista Lappy has a 250Gb HDD partitioned - c: has just 38Gb free of 116Gb but e: has 109Gb free of 115Gb. Just about everything seems to be stored on C ! E only has HDD recovery and a tag file. Should I have to shift data over from C to E please? Otherwise there'll be no space left on c!

Thanks loads,

Yeah - I've never come across this partitioned HDD before, and don't really understand why it's on this Lappy. So, does it MATTER what's on C and whats on E?

I only use E for recovery purposes, and enlarged C to give me more usable space.

You should be able to move some of the free hard drive space from the E drive to the C drive via vista's shrink and expand tool in disk management.

This would make C larger and E smaller.

I wasn't aware of this facility - just had a look and will certainly do as you suggested.

Thanks a lot!
