Hi i have a vista laptop
aspier 5715z
1.86 ghz 533 mhz fsb
1mb l2cache
intel pentium dual core t2390
15.4 wxga acer crystal bright lcd
i recently went on to a site and pop up came up saying a virus had been found, and it started downloading something not sure what it looked like an official windows windo but obviously want. it turn off avg and open something called vista defender.
i restarted my comp but avg was not there and this vista defender kept saying security risk i have been infected i am at risk etc.
i did a system restore and avg came back i then downloaded a squared and it said i had multible high risk items on my laptop.
i tried to delte them using the quarantine option but it said it could not delete them.
so i did the scan again twice but now it say i have no infections?
i scanned with avg and it says i have no infections as well but i definately have not deleted them.
what can i do now please thanks in advance.

Download and update the free version of Malwarebytes then go into safe mode and run it.

Just keep tapping F8 as the computer starts for safe mode.

hi i done it it found two trojans and various other items which i since removed. thank you i will run it again now, is this software worth buying it sems really good so far?

Yes worth Buying as it gives full time protection and is a one off payment that lasts forever.
Now this coupon code gives you 20%off it worked last week but not sure about this week.
If you have any more problems run it again in safe mode and remove anything that it finds then run C Cleaner. Then switch off system restore and when you reboot switch system restore back on again.
