Vista BOOTSECT.BAK on wrong drive

  spras 12:58 07 Sep 2009

For some reason vista has put BOOTSECT.BAK on my D: drive instead of my C: drive (where the rest of vista is installed) along with a file called msdia80.dll. I need to destroy the D: partition and expand my C: partition, but I'm afraid that doing this is going to cripple my installation. Are these files required for Vista to boot? How do I relocate them and ensure Vista will still be able to boot?

msdia80.dll click here

Bootsect.bak and boot.bak are backup files from the previous xp bootloader.
They aren't neededed for Vista, and they can be safely deleted.

(Assuming your install of Vista is good?)
