virus deletion

  celticbhoy0 12:47 04 Apr 2004

I have a PC running windows XP using AVG 6 antivirus free edition. The virus database is up to date and all works well apart from the removal of two viruses on my system. The viruses are supposedlly named c:\my.oad\download.dat, but AVG cannot delete these files. I have tried to locate and delete the files manually, but cannot even find the directory let alone the files. I would be pleased if anyone could shed some light on this for me as I am begining to worry that my system my crsh soon.

go into my computer-tools folder options-view, and make sure that "show all files" is dotted.

This should allow you to find and manually delete the files.

P.s. nearly lost it yesterday. (got to be a good team to take the record)
