I have Norton AV. It is fully updated. When I inserted a CD-ROM that contain programs downloaded from Kazaa, Norton alerted me that a virus was detected on my computer. (Virus W33.HLLP.Handy)However I only inserted the disk and never excecuted any files. Will that mean that the virus is only on the CD-ROM and not on my HD?I followed the advice of Norton and ran a full system scan and no files were found to be infected. So am I right to think that the virus never actually transfered itself to my HD?
Hi Marky_Bhoy. I think it is most likely that Norton detected the virus on the cd and in doing so it saved your hard drive from infection.
Nother great advert.......

If you have run a full check and your up to date what else is there..??
