Virgin to BT broadband

Hi, can you help.
My OS is XP Pro and Im currently on Virgin broadband using a speedtouch wired modem. Im about to transfer to BT broadband on 14/11/05 & have recieved a BT voyager/ CD in the post. Can I continue to use the speedtouch modem with BT broadband, or do I have to use the Voyager? Also will the Voyager work without loading the BT software? If so how is this done?

Thanks Ken

Yes you can still use the Speedtouch, it used to be BT's standard Broadband modem.

If I just leave the Speedtouch connected, will it automatically detect the BT broadband when the service is switched, or do I need to do anything? Would there be a good reason to use the Voyager?
Thanks for your help,Ken
