View US only website from abroad

Is there any way I can view US versions of websites, which check my IP to see where I am located. from outside the US.

Different functionality id offered to US residents and I want it!

Preferably I'd like to go through a website than have to install 3rd party software. Also I use a mac.

Many thanks!

OK. I'm trying with proxies with limited success. I downloaded FoxyProxy for firefox. It asks for the Proxy Name, Host Name Port.

Now I gather the Proxy name may be anything I want.

I have inputed the correct Port for my desired proxy.

But what do I use as the Host Name? The Proxy IP? I tried this but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

Alternatively, anyone have any links to a US PAC file?

Thanks for your input!
