Maybe your dvd player require you to put your piccies onto a Kodak format disc?

Just a thought on passing.

Have you written your slide show in SVCD? Are you connecting your DVD TV with SVCD cable? If so you should make sure that your TV is capable of using SVCD input, then make sure that this is selected. The slide will play in colour with svcd selected or mono if not selected.

Have just tried a SVCD slide show and it is as above. Good luck.

The disc was written in Vcd,and not in Super vcd,... The DVD-TV is connected with what I believe to be a standard scart cable,is there a way of identifying a SVCD cable?...... this is the first time I have burnt a VCD so I no zilch on the subject

Problem Solved

I burnt the cd as SVCD tif files instead of Video Mpeg files.

Thanks Agent Smith & sioxah for your input
