Video Card upgrade

  bobbyalec 21:30 10 Dec 2003

my present setup consists of
AMD Athlon-XP barton 2600 + 333MHz FSB processor
JetwayV400DA Mainboard Socket A
512MB Major 2700 PC333b DDR memory
Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 40Gb 7200rpm drive
GEForce2 32Mb Video card

I am about to select new Video card
either ATI Radeon 3D Connect Rad 9600 128Mb
or the same but 256Mb for £10 extra.

My main programme I am running will be Trainz
Railway Simulator 2004, will the extra 128Mb really improve the performance enough to justify another £10?

For a tenner - why not? It future proof the card that bit more!

If it was £100 you were quibbling over i would understand but a tenner??
