Video card installation process failed

How can I install a video card to my new computer? I mean, I plugged it into the socket but I didn't work.

click here Are you sure it was fully inserted in the slot? 2. Does the card need power connection? 3. did the PC boot to a screen or was it just blank 4. do you have the drivers downloaded for it?

Make and model of Graphics card + make and model of PC will help.

I have been caught out when fitting a new graphics cars in the past when I connected by mistage to the motherboard monitor socket which has probably been automatically disabled by fitting the new graphics card.

Also does the graphics card need its own power supply and is your power supply powerful enough to feed it?

Finally, have you checked out any particular instructions supplied with the graphics card?

It would be handy to know what graphics card and what motherboard otherwise working completely in the dark.
