Video capture

Assistance please.....
Have installed a Dvd burner, Studio 8 as the software with a Pinnacle Dazzle 150 as the video capture.

The problem is read/write times. I think they are quite low 2800/1900. I don't know whether it's the hard disk , the processor, the software or what.

I am running Athlon 2600+ with 512meg ram & a 120gig HDD (5400rpm) with around 70gig free.

I feel it may be the HDD as the spindle speed is not that quick but I am open to any suggestions on how to go forward on this one.

Do I ask santa for a new HDD or a processor or a big hammer?

Don't use s8 to burn, use nero or similar.

Have got Nero on the system but when I ask it to capture video I get the response "Cannot Capture Pinnacle 150" which is the capture device, It seems as though Sudio 8 has got a strangle hold on it & won't let any other program access it.

I believe nero 5 works better with s8 than 6. But this may help click here
