Video Camera files copy

  geedad 05:53 20 Mar 2004

I have saved many movie shots on CD from a Kodak mc3 still/movie camera, and wish to transfer them to my hard drive to edit them. Although I have Quicktime, ReaPlayer and Windows Media installed ( 160g Drive, Windows XP )the comp does not seem to save them in an application. However, RealPlayer plays these when the CD is in the drive ! I have a couple of hundred to copy then need to transfer them to a DVD disc.
Can anyone help, please?

Drag and drop the files from the open CD drive window to a folder on your PC and then open them with an editing program, not a viewing program.

Good luck, Garry.

Many thanks - will the editor change the format?
( From Quicktime to Windows Media Player movies or whatever ?

not unless you save and it may ask what format you want to save in. This would be after editing anything
