I'm using a Philips TFT on my Radeon 9800. I'm using the vga cable that it came with but would it be better to connect it using the DVI. What are the advantages of DVI over VGA?

DVI is supposed to give a better picture quality as there is no analgue to digital conversion involved.

I have an iiyama TFT connected by DVI and if I revert to D Sub connection I for one can not see any discernable difference.

I thought DVI was supposed to give a sharper picture but i can't see how you can make a TFT pixel any sharper! Does DVI increase the speed of the screen update because there is no analogue conversion?

I don't know but it will provide a better picture than D Sub.

Whether the eye of the user can notice the difference is debatable.
