vga controller

Hi, I have been trying to insatall a new graphics card(posted yesterday and thanks for help people concearned)I have a message saying install vga controller,I have looked on xp disk and motheboard disk no luck, any thoughts anyone.

System is evesham axis rk1900 windows xp
asus a7v266-e motherboard.
graphics card Radeon 9600
RAM 512

You should have the drivers on the cd supplied with the new card. If not you can get them from click here .

Make sure you have un-installed the drivers from your old card first.

Should be on the driver disk that came with your MOBO gets overwritten by the display adapter of your graphic card drivers.

Have you disabled on board graphics (moving a jumper / switch / in BIOS)? you need to do tis if you have fitted a seperate AGP / PCI graphics card.
