Can anyone tell me the most up to date version of Microsoft Internet Explorer that will work on Windows XP?

IE8 is OK, but not later.

You'll find that some other browsers (e.g. Google Chrome) are a lot faster than IE8. Microsoft seriously improved the performance of IE from IE9 onwards, but these have not been made available for XP, But Chrome works fine with XP.

Agree with the choice of IE8, but even that seems to have its problems. Firefox and Chrome seem far the best browser's to use.

We hear about being in the 21st century, but strangely enough, my bank internet services, seems to only support Internet Explorer?.

Thanks all. You have confirmed my suspicions.
