verbatim cd-r discs

  dugit 19:06 20 Dec 2006

I was looking at Verbatim cdr discs but they have so many types, I want good quality cdr for data/photo/soun, probably a silly question but how do you decide ?

For me its trial and error with different media.

Find a brand that works well for you and stick to it.

Keep in mind that many of the brands of media aren't actually made by the company selling them. To find out who actually manufactured the media you can use DVD Identifier.

Some of the best makes of media to try are Ritek G04/G05, Verbatim Metal AZO, Maxell and Taiyo Yuden.

Taiyo Yuden is generally accepted as probably the best media manufacturer in the world - Imation and Infiniti are among those who rebrand its products under their own name.

I too have used Verbatim disks and they are quality media, I am at present using Taiyo Yuden and I agree with Stuartli about Taiyo Yuden. Whichever you choose you will have top quality media.

Have gone ahead and ordered verbatim 43343 cdr's.
Thanks for the replies which have been helpful in coming to a decision.
