I know this is a puter forum, but just thought some of you kind teccies could help. I have a Ferguson VideoStar FV305HV recorder. Problem is, the date doesn't go beyond 2000. Indeed it only covers the 90s. Does anyone know a year in the 90s I could set it to, to replicate this years date, and subsequent yrs? I have searched the net, but can't find what I'm looking for.
Thanks.

i think the year 1947 is the one, as i had a Betamax video player, and it wasn't compatible after 2000, and i was told that year, is the same. Mind you it was 5 years ago?

Thanks only me. Trouble with this one is, it only takes from 1990 to 1999. Bought it in Makro cheap a few years ago, now I know why, though there was nothing to say about 2000 compliant. It's a 6head nicam, and don't want to bin it. Been thinking anyway, it doesn't take days, as in Mon, Tues, etc, so if I set it to a leap yr in early 1990s, it should do the job just fine.
Thanks anyway.
