VCR to DVD recorder connections

Confused writes

Would be grateful for advice on the following:

I can record from VCR to a DVD recorder using scart to analogue converter and (red/white/yellow leads) but there is also an S video output from the converter and an Svideo input to the DVD recorder. I am not sure whether I should use the leads or Svideo lead or both.

When I have recorded from Video to DVD recorder I have just used the scart lead and it recorded perfectly.

My dvd recorder manual suggests I cannot use scart to scart for transferring vcr to dvd but maybe I can.

However, I would still like to know whether, if using red/yellow/white leads I should use the SVideo lead as well for improved quality or I simply use one or the other.

Can anyone advise?

nothing to worry about.

s-video and c-video connects are for other devices which only only s-video connector, for example some analogue camcorder use s-video.

try using s-video and red and white leads only do not connect the yellow lead and see if you get better quality (red and white are audio left and right, yellow is video)
