Vaio Z series on windows 7 - freezing

would appreciate some help here

I have a new Vaio VGN-Z5 running windows 7
It is freezing 3 or 4 times a day, by this I mean I get the blue donut and can no longer make the laptop do anything – my only option is to turn the laptop off and start again
I can still move the cursor around and even click the x to close a program, but nothing happens, I cannot start task manager

It mainly seems to happen when opening outlook messages or after a web page is slow to load – no firm pattern though

If anyone has similar problems I would appreciate hearing from you

Has the computer done this from the first day that you had it?

If so, then I suggest that you need to be talking to the supplier, who should fix it under warranty.

If not, was there any particular event that seemed to trigger it?

No its been this way since I got it - Sony are proving very unhelpful in this matter, its a long story

So did you buy it direct from Sony, or from a retailer?

If the latter, then I shouldn't bother about trying to get anywhere with Sony. Legally, your contract is with the retailer - they should sort the problem out for you.
