Using TV screen as monitor ???

Is there a way to connect my laptop to my tv so I can us the TV screen as a monitor ????? If so what would I need to do

Forget it if it is an old CRT screen TV as the text will never be sharp enough.

You really need a TV with a PC input. for it to be worthwhile using as a monitor.

Tv is about 4 years old, in the front panel is a jack for headphones and 3 jacks colourd red, yellow and white.

Thanks, that kit looks as if it would work, but looks like I need an extra gizmo to get it in colour. Had a thought can a pc be attached to a larger flat screen monitor or is that complicated as well

yes just plug it in, then adjust your display settings to suit if required.

Again laptop just plugs in from the VGA port on the laptop to the connection on the monitor.
You will probably need a key combination to switch over to the vga port from the laptop screen, usually something like Fn + F7.
Look for a symbol of a monitor (square) 0n one of the keys.
