using restore cd

i have a very sluggish o/s (xp).bloated hard-drive (demos etc)and have just discovered "worm/nachi.b".will using the restore cd solve the problems,in particular the virus.all advice gratefully received.

it will but its a long way round the problem.

run an up to date antivirus and remove anything it finds.

use add remove programs to get rid of junk you dont need.

run a registry cleaner afterwards like regseeker click here

run disk cleanup or try click here to remove temp files

defrag your hard drive

run a check for spyware with spybot and adaware click here click here

update windows click here install any critical ones.

If you have just discoved the virus most likly its been on there a while and doing its dirty work turn system restore off and scan with an up to date virus software,the restore cd wont clean the virus and might even make it worse.
