I used NEROs backup tool to backup my hard drive.What exactly does it back up?Say for instance i re-installed XP on my pc and then restored my backup....would all the software i had been using before the reinstall of XP be restorded too?Im using NERO 6 by the way.Thanks.
IIRC the advice given by those in the know has been not to use Nero for backup purposes - I think the reason was due to the way in which Nero names or uses backup files.
I have also tried to use Acronis True Image which i got free with a magazine.However it only lets me back up to cd and not dvd. This can mean a lot of cds.
Acronis will let you backup to DVD, where is it going wrong.(which version?)
i use norton ghost back up well and is easy to use.
Rawprawn,I think its version 8. I got it free in a pc mag. Would it have certain limtations if it was free.It goes wrong when it asks for the media to save the image to. It just says invalid media when i put a dvd in.
Have you formatted the dvd? I use Acronis True Image 7 and I swear by it, I don't think that yours will have any limitations and I think V 8 is fine. There must be an easy explanation
