Using the Archer C7 as a wireless access point?

Can you please confirm if it would be OK for me to use the AC1750 (Archer C7) Wireless Dual Band Gigabit (Cable) Router as a wireless access point on a network where the main router in question is being used on a DSL Fibre service?

My Internet Service Provider is PlusNet and they provide me with a Fibre Optic broadband connection using DSL technology.

Would I still be able to use the Archer C7 as a wireless access point with such a setup or not?

All I want to do is to extend the signal from the room where the PlusNut Hub one router is situated and use the Archer C7 in another room as a WAP.

I don't want to connect the C7 to the main router.

If this won't work, then which other Archer model do you recommend that I can use instead?

Please advise.

Many thanks.
