Use of SPamCop

I am currently using SpamCop to report the relatively small amount of Spam that I get to my 'real' email address. Unfortunately this address had got into the hands of the spammers before I thought of using a yahoo address for everything that might be more 'risky'.

Anyway, just want to check that I am using this correctly. I read recently that there may be some risk in actually opening some Spam to get the headers and text body to report to SpamCop. I run an up to date firewall and virus scanner and always manually scan anything that looks suspicious before opening it to report.

I am also keeping a copy of all SPAM in Outlook in in the Infected folder for use in refining blocking rules should the current spamload escalate.

Am I doing anything that is exposing me more than is necessary?
