Hi all,
Could anyone tell me if a usb2 flash drive would work in a usb1 (I think) socket. I'm running win98se and am just about to purchase a 64Mb drive from, one of the Dabs value drives. Will it work? Thanks J

Yes, but at USB1 speed.

And you will need to install drivers; most likely they will need to be downloaded from net.

XP/ME /2K has built in support. Win98 does not.

That's good news then. Not too fussed about the speed at the moment, as long as it works. If speed becomes an issue, I'll think about an upgrade ... and I'll be back here to ask you all if that's possible too, lol. Many thanks for your help J
