U.S.B. Storage problems

  mrchips 17:25 13 Jan 2004

Having used a U.S.B. stick for a long time, I have bought a new P.C. and find that although it is seen in my computer I am unable to open it to retreive the files stored on it.
The message I am receiving is "the device is not formatted do you wish to format"
Obviously if I do format it, I will lose everything stored there.
Any ideas how I can open the device to retreive the files.

try ignoring the message, cancel it. right click on the device, then choose explore. hope that helped.
