USB to Motherboard

  Perks 09:24 09 Dec 2003

I am trying to locate a USB to motherboard cable.
The motherboard is USB ready and enabled, the problem is that it is an older motherboard and I have no idea of the make except to say that what is marked as USB on the motherboard is a seven pin male connection. It has a VIA chipset.

Anyone with information about where to find such a device.

Many Thanks

Hi Perks. Run AIDA32 as suggested by critic-al and let us know what the motherboard is. If it has the VIA MVP3 chipset, then, from my experience, you are unlikely to get it to work on USB. I have tried with 3 motherboards using this chipset with little success.
