HI all, I am in the market for a new Flatbed Scanner but I notice that most of them come with "USB 2" connection. My question is,as my computer does not have USB 2 will the scanner still connect okay using the old USB outlet? Many thanks in advance for your help. gill.

Yes, with no problems at all, it will of course transfer data at the lower speed of 1.1, But you will not notice any difference, as 1.1 is so fast anyway. J.

Read in PCA about the confusion/scam that is only now resolving? The definition is USB High speed, or USB 2? The former being the USB 2, really, but not the latter? On that point, I bought a CanoscanD1250U2 recently....is that high speed? Thanks
