Urgent Need of ReConnect app that is works on Win7

  Aushvill 14:12 27 Dec 2009

I installed Win 7 on my home PC on tuesday

previously using ReConnect on my XP

so as to automatically dial a connection on PC startup (the primary purpose i use it for)

but ReConnect 1.5 (version that i have )doesnt support Win 7

I have tried other things like copying RASDIAL.exe into startup folder

but that doesnt solve that problem

plz tell me if there is a version of reconnect supporting Win 7 or other similar apps

Can you not right click the connection in the "Network Connections" folder and select "Create Shortcut"? Placing that shortcut in the Startup folder should launch the connection when the PC boots.

@ mgmcc

Windows 7 doesnot allow one to create any such kind of shortcuts on the desktop (unless there is a registry hack to it)...

thanx anyways

Happy New Year to all

Windows 7 lets me create a shortcut on the desktop to a network connection. ???

Click on the connection to highlight it, then right click and select Create Shortcut. Once you have the shortcut on the desktop, you can move it into the Startup folder.

As mgmcc. Open all programs and right click startup and select open.
Start, search programs and files box and type 'view network' and select view network connections. Drag and drop the network connection icon to start folder. (I have mine on desktop for convenience).
