Urgent help please

  Dirk Diggler 14:57 26 Dec 2005

I am trying to listen to an Audio Stream (Starting 3pm) and all the sounds are playing too fast ie, sounds like chipmunks, smurfs etc etc. This is not just the audio stream, but sound files that play when opening programs eg, Incredimail

I have checked all options in WMP and cannot find anything amiss

Please does anyone have any ideas ?

Many thanks

That's the Problem of having Computers that are FAST. Apart from the dig, I have seen this before on hear but don't remember the outcome, or if there was one. Tell us first you OS and if it's onboard sound or a card also some info on the make model of card etc

OS is WinXP Home - Sounds is on-board

This may or may not by AC97 sound but we need to know the Motherboard Chipset so you can download the latest drivers. Like SIS, Via,Intel Ali etc.

Does it give a like you can press for Audio updates

  SurfMonkey _#:@} 16:02 26 Dec 2005

Dirk Diggler you say you have checked the win media player settings just out of interest have you checked the enhancment bit in wim media player under play setting some times it can get adjusted and that will make all files played sound very fast or slow

  Dirk Diggler 16:33 26 Dec 2005

there isnt a link for audio updates - only for the chipset (which shows ony graphics drivers)

Also, I have checked the Enhancements in WMP and it shows as playing at normal speed
