Upgrading my PC for video editing demands

Hi all,

Over time I have found it more and more difficult to edit videos using my tower PC. It often struggles and sometimes it crashes whilst using Premier Pro. I know it's a high demand, sometimes irritating program, but how I can help my computer survive? I have followed online tutorials on how to de-frag, uninstall unused programs and so on, but as much as it helped, it's still not quite enough. I do not play video games, this upgrade is solely for video/ photo editing. I am looking for some advice; should I upgrade my computer or get a new one?

The specs are:

-OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home

-Version 10.0.14393 Build 14393

-System Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard

-System Type x64-based PC

-Processor AMD A8-6500 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics, 3500 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

-BIOS Version/Date AMI 80.08, 24/06/2014

-SMBIOS Version 2.8

-Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 6.00 GB

-Total Physical Memory 5.43 GB

-Available Physical Memory 3.20 GB

-Total Virtual Memory 5.82 GB

-Available Virtual Memory 3.35 GB

-Page File Space 400 MB

-369gb remaining of 917gb total memory space

I hope this makes more sense to you than it does me! I have a budget of about £150, however I can go higher if it's necessary. I'd really appreciate some help, thank you in advanced!

A major Memory boost could solve many of your problems.

When you say memory boost, are you referring to RAM, if so how much would you recommend? Thanks
