Upgraded and trying to clean install but crashes

Hey guys,

I've had a desktop pc lying around unused for around a year and decided to upgrade it, admittedly without really knowing what i'm doing. The original was - click here - this exact model.

I upgraded to an nVidia GTX970, a corsair 600w PSU and bought a 500gb Samsung 850 EVO SSD. I also bought a new copy of Windows 10.

Everything is fine inside the case and as far as I can tell it's all connected right. However when I turn on the machine with the boot DVD inside, it starts to run the Windows 10 loading screen but then after around 3-4 minutes just powers off.

If I go to the setup (f2 on startup) it can stay active forever without powering down. I don't know enough about computers to know where the issue lies.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

No need to buy a new copy of W/10 it is a free upgrade from W/7.

Have you checked the PC for compatibility?

Yeah tomorrow i'm going to be removing the SSD and replacing my old HDD to see if that fixes anything. Could it be a sign of not enough power since the computer just up and shuts itself off?
