Hi,
I currently own a PC World Philips X57 notebook. I am trying to find out if the current processor Intel Core Duo T5500 1.66ghz is removable and what is the biggest clock speed I can go up to. I think my processor is either on Merom/Santa Rosa platform. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think you need to be quite sure what CPU you have before you consider replacing it.
Laptop CPU's are very expensive.
I think the T7600 is the fastest compatable CPU. Costs about £400.
