I am looking to upgrade my PC, used mostly for video/sound processing & gaming.
I currently have: Core 2 Duo 3Ghz, 4GB Ram, Vista 32, Radeon HD 3870 x 2.
I am a complete novice when it comes to upgrades - and would like to make sure, that whatever i buy will be compatible - i am looking at a Radeon HD 5870 and as much Ram as i could fit in my rig as i believe these are the 2 most important items for graphic performance (and a reasonably priced 1900x1200 monitor)
Can anyone tell me if this feasible, what else i need to consider and any reasonbly priced online stores + are these components within the reach of novices to install?.
Many thanks to anyone taking the time to respond.

If you want more than 3.5Gb Ram. you will need Win7 64 bit os. First thing to do is rum Microsoft Win7 upgrade advisor click here

get the hd5870 thats all you need. check to see if it will fit in the case otherwise you need to shift everything into a better case.
