Upgrade of CPU?

  podlod 08:42 18 Aug 2011

Hi, I have received info from a software which is called Can you run itto see if my pc can play certain games that I wish to purchase. Many games were playable, but equally there were many I was unable as they failed their test result. They said I needed a more powerfull CPU being in the range of > Intel Core 2 duo or 2.4 gh AMD Athlon x2 64 < as my existing is to low. What I need to know is, is it too difficult for me to fit a new one, and will I have to upgrade anything else to compensate. If the answer is favourable can you give me what is the better CPU to purchase, thank you. System specs as follows;

Sorry I had not finished, you have a naff card ATI Radeon HD 4800, which is old today's standards. You could always phone me tomorrow morning and I'll see what I can suggest. One other thing what is your budget?
