Upgrade Advice

Hi guys,

I'm about to upgrade my PC and i need help with a couple of components.

Firstly, the motherboard. As i'm building the system around an Athlon64, I was going for the Asus K8V but the supplier i am using doesn't have it in stock. He has offered me an Asrock K8S8X but i haven't used this manufacturer before, nor do i know anyone who has. Opinions on this please?

Secondly, the graphics card.

I have a choice of 3 within my budget. All are 256Mb versions and they are the Microstar GeForce FX5700LE-TD, the Asus Geforce FX5700TD (Asus AV9570TD)and a generic make ATi Radeon 9600XT. However, because the Asrock motherboard above is £10 cheaper than the Asus equivalent, i could stretch to a generic 128Mb Geforce FX5900XT if i take the Asrock board.

So, the question is what should i go for? Who makes these generic cards anyway?

Thanks for any help,

asrock is a branch of asus, for a graphics card don't get anything with le in the title.
