First, what is the spec of your laptop?

L30CPU:Intel® Celeron® M CPU 410 @ 1.46GHz

Memory:1.38 GB

Hard Disk Drives:"C" - 46.70 GB Free (55.88 GB Total

may be a little low spec for vista, run the upgrade advisor click here first.

Personally, with that spec, I would not bother. There is nothing in Vista that should make you want to change and on your lappy it will be slower.

thanx guy :)

I would personally stick with XP. I have got both Vista and XP on different PCs.

But if you want to try Vista, see if you can beg, borrow or steal a Vista OS disc, as you can have a 30 day trial before you need to activate it.

Ask your self this:

Is there something in Vista that I really and truly want or need?

If the answer is no, then you know what (not) to do.

If the answer is yes, only then investigate what the impact on your lappie might be.

Personaly I take the view that an OS is just a means to an end so that I can run my applications. If it is stable, secure (well, secure compared with the alternatives) and supports my applications, then why would one change?

Vista is OK if you are starting from scratch but upgrade from XP? I wouldnt touch it.
