can someone give some advice on my laptop plz ???

would it be good to put vista on this laptop ???

Toshiba L30-134 laptop


CPU: 410 @ 1.46 GHz,1.47GHz

1.37 GB OF RAM

all i was going to do is try vista on this but was'nt sure if it would run ok :)

i do intend to buy more memory plus mabye new motherboard with new processor

if you have xp keep it till windows 7 comes out.

Vista is going to struggle on that spec. And I can't imagine why you would want to 'upgrade' to Vista, when XP is a better, less demanding OS.

Just be grateful that you're still running XP, and - as citadel says - wait to see whether Windows 7 is worthwhile.

one more question plz if you get a recovery disk with your laptop and you format it and install a new os .......will th recovery disk still work if you decide to go bk the the old os ????

NO!! once you have formatted you will need a full bootable copy of your chosen O/S...
