Updating MY PCA Profile

  Zak 19:29 23 Dec 2008

I want to sign up for the "Monitor your PC".

However step 2 ends up advising me that my nickname is already taken.

I have had this before and not bothered taking advantage of additional services, thinking this will sort itself out.

Any ideas please as I do not want to change any of my registered details; just to subscribe to services on offer

There is no need to sign up again if you are already a member to PC Advisor go to your profile and

tick the box under “PC Performance Monitor - free tool” – Next and Update Profile

I ticked box as you have said.

Clicking next brings me back to the same screen.

Edit Profile - Step 1 of 2

I am unable to get to "update"

Strange no problem on this side to access the update page 2

Any ideas please?

Might sound (and be) daft, but is it possible simply to register for the Monitor process using any name but not be registered? In other words are there two separate databases?

If this is the case, it is possible for any existing logon name to be used by a second person as there is no way for the databases to compare notes.

Used both IE 7 & FireFox

Any suggestions please?

I've just checked the profile update page and all appears to be working correctly. After ticking the checkbox for 'PC Performance Monitor', and clicking 'Next', I'm taken to the second page of the update procedure and can click on Úpdate'.

Have you tried deleting cookies/internet history?

kind regards
