I have downloaded a movie file but it arrived as a file type I do not recognise, ie, OPT!V!D and I do not know what to open or extract it with before I burn it to DVD.
The spelling is correct, ie, the exclamation marks.
Any ideas?

Thanx for that. I had looked at that link before but not read it properly. It mentions the file extension is actually 'mkv' which led me to look on the net and I found a site referring to some software called Matroska (possibly Russian) which I downloaded (small file) and was able to play the movie in Media Player. The opening credits are a bit jumpy anyway so I may not bother burning it to DVD but thanks again.
