Unstable Broadband/Router

  myphrill 20:41 16 Jan 2005

I just built my new pc which has an AMD Athlon 64bit 3000+ (2.0GHz) processor and 1.50GB-RAM.

I just connected it to my router and i can connect to the net, but msn messenger at regularly intervals signs out, its like every now and then the pc loses internet connectivity.

I have 750k cable broadband via ethernet which is fed into a Cisco Linksys router. It doesnt matter whether this pc is connected to port 1 or 2 of the router, my pc every now and then momentarily loses its connection. MSN messenger signs out and downloads just halt. But I've had none of this on the other older PC downstairs. The Packard Bell Pentium IV - 2000MHz with 256MB-RAM.

What should or can i do?
