Uninstalling Norton Internet Security

  heidelberg 18:43 23 Jan 2006

I have just undertaken the alledgedly onerous task of uninstalling Norton Internet Security 2005, after much planning, and having read everything I could on this forum. I expected the worst - but didn't get it.

I removed, using Add/Remove Programs in Control panel, Norton and Symantec, then deleted anything to do with either name using the search button. I haven't investigated the registry, and would be reluctant to do so unless I have to.

Is it absolutely necessary for me to do this?

Thanks in advance

You could run click here= to make sure it has all gone.

Thanks VoG™.

I followed the link, and was informed that everything has been removed. But searching, in the registry, "Norton" still finds some entries. Would it be best to leave well alone, as the PC seems to be working well now, as I have installed AVG and Zone Alarm?

Thanks again

If it is all working I would leave well alone.
