Hi allI need some help, having recently invested in a SSD for booting I decided to put Windows7 on that drive and one of my spare drives for apps and games.I went into disk management to quick format the spare drive and for some reason I accidentally quick formmated a drive with important data!! At the moment I'm scanning the drive with test disk which should help me out!!
Some other apps from Gizmo's hereclick here
Thanks Ile look into thoseI've also got Recova too.
Ive run into a problem I see the partition in testdisk but can't open it I get this error:"Can't Open Filesystem File System Seems Damaged"Any Help?
Your thread title says you deleted the partition and in the text of the opening post you say you quick formatted it.Can you clarify, did you remove the partition or format.
I quick Formated it.
The format has not been completed successfully so do it again. This will not great effect your chances of recovering the majority of your data.
I have data on that drive so I need to recover it.
A format does not delete data it overwrites the file system files only.Once you have formatted a program like recuva stands a good chance of recovering much of your data.click here
Thanks for the input Ile try recova.Looking around on the web some have carried out a chkdsk and then used a file recovery programme ile try this method first.
Yep recuva is doing its job its found my files. I wonder if test disk would do the same?
