Unable to send E-Mails.

I am getting the following error message when I attempt to send any E-Mails, can anyone please help?

As you can imagine what with all the viruses around and now this I'm completely up the creek.
Many many thanks for any help.

This is the actual error: An unknown error has occured. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure (SSL) : No, Error Number: 0x800C13B.
howerdjay - a possible cause is that your 'Sent Items.dbx file is damaged'

1. Click START, point to FIND, and then click FILES OR FOLDERS
2. In the NAMED box, type SENT ITEMS.DBX
3. In the LOOK IN box, click your primary hard disk (usually drive C), and then click FIND NOW
4. Right-click the SENT ITEMS.DBX file, and then click RENAME
5. Type SENT ITEMS.OLD and then click OK
6. Restart Outlook Express. This action automatically creates a new Sent Items.dbx file

Sorry - that should have read 'is this the actual error?'

Dear Wes Tam I'm very sad that your wrong, it isn't that Error Number it is:- 0x8000C131
NOT 0x800C13B as you thought

Which version of OE are you using? and OS?

howerdjay - if you don't mind losing all your Sent messages ...

Do a find for *.dbx (email files)
Delete the outbox.dbx file

It will be rebuilt by Outlook Express

... or follow my previous if you want to retain them.

It's worth a try if nobody comes up with anything better.

I'd suggest even deleting everything in your outbox and trying again like Wes Tam ;-) says .
